About
ANODIZE
A collection from photographer Alexander William, these pieces are meant to Anodize.
Anodization is a process used to harden, protect, and better the appearance of metals. Raw metal is submerged in acid and subjected to an electrical charge. Through this, the surface is transformed into a chemically stable, non-toxic, protective barrier. Anodization preserves the structure of the metal in the face of corrosion.
These designs could be seen as brash, or acidic. They could be seen as contemptible, or shocking. Hopefully, they may also be seen as stimulating, or strengthening.
